Also, with the Jags cutting ties with David Garrard and counting on Luke McCown, their offense will struggle big time, which should give Tennessee plenty of opportunities to put up points.

2. Jamaal Charles

Charles is a great back, but I believe he and the Chiefs will regress from last year. However, they will have no trouble this week with Buffalo. The Bills had the worst rush defense in the league last year, and Charles should easily put up over 100 yards and a couple TD's this week.

3. Adrian Peterson

Similar to Tennessee, the Vikings brought in a new, veteran quarterback who will do a lot of handing off to Peterson while he gets acclimated with the offense. I also expect Peterson to get more receiving yards since McNabb will check down to him more often as he gets comfortable with his new receiving corps.

4. Arian Foster

There is still some concern about Foster's hamstring, but I expect him to start and get a normal workload this week. He will break down the Colts/ poor run defense. Peyton Manning's injury will also really hurt the Colts' defense. If Kerry Collins is unproductive, Foster could be pounding a worn down Colts' D that cannot get off the field.

5. Frank Gore

Gore is a force, and with the 49ers sticking with Alex Smith, Gore should get plenty of work this week. Gore has a tendency to get injured, but the first few weeks, while he is healthy and fresh, he will rack up big fantasy points.

Sleeper: LeGarrette Blount

The Lions seem to be a hot sleeper pick, but I am not buying the hype just yet. Suh is a beast, but he is better at getting after the quarterback than at stuffing the running game. Blount has gone from a free agent pickup no one wanted to the starter in a strong young offense. Blount doesn't have the speed to bust huge runs like Chris Johnson, but he is a powerful short yardage rusher that will convert from the 1 yard line. He has also improved in the passing game, which adds to his value.

Back in the mid-sixties, the Panhead engine was initially developed to fit Sportster choppers. As time went on, the Panhead lost its attraction and went out of style due to the fact that Harley Davidson began developing bikes that required more horsepower.

Unfortunately, many motorcycle experts now say that the weight of the new shovel head engine detracted from the speed and power of certain models in the sixties. In fact, the shovel head engine was originally designed as an engine for an outboard motor (a motor for boats), but it did not function in water or in moist air.

In the 1970's, minor changes were made to the shovel head engines that helped fix some of the problems demonstrated by the weight of the sixties shovel head model. However, most Harley specialists would say that even these revisions did not quite catch the shovelhead "up to speed." This was mainly due to that fact that Harley Davidson had to stick by government regulations that basically said choppers could not have more than a top speed of 90 miles per hour.

Another interesting tidbit of info is that if the engine came with a feature called the FLH Electra-Glide Package, it was identified as a shovel head engine for police bikes. Sometimes this feature is called the Police Option. It definitely made it easier for Police to run cars off the road.

Additionally, The FLH Electra-Glide package also enabled the engine to turn over longer while the machine was in idle. Unfortunately, it made for a heavy bike that was not easy for the average rider to maneuver or brake instantly. It's very hard to find a Harley shovelhead engine with the original FLH Electra-Glide package. It's very rare and is prized by motorcycle and chopper part collectors.

Weekly options or "Weeklys" have rapidly grown in popularity since they began to be offered on individual stocks and exchange traded funds in 2010. Originally weekly options were only offered on the S&P 500 (SPX) and S&P 100 index (OEX) but the Chicago Board of Options (CBOE) started rolling out new offerings on specific index ETF's and well known stocks.

Many stock investors are still only familiar with the traditional monthlies that expires each month so they are missing out the benefits that weeklies can provide to a portfolio. Lets discuss some of the key aspects.

Each week the CBOE releases a new list of weekly options offered but the majority of the list stays the same. They are issued each Thursday and expire the following Friday. The only exception is that there are no new weeklies offered for expiration on the third Friday of each month as that is when monthlies expire.

Time Decay

The key advantage of weekly options is the rapid time decay. If you are option income trader or investor then you can now sell options every week instead of once a month to collect rapid time decay.

Traditionally, time decay on monthly options didn't really pick up until expiration week so the advantage with weeklys is that you boost your returns vs. monthlies. The general rule of thumb is that you can collect about two times the premium selling each week vs. one monthly.

If you a directional trader looking to make a short term trade with a long options then a weekly allows you to purchase an in the money options with little time premium priced in vs. a longer term monthly would carry more time premium. The shorter time to expiration means you don't need to buy as far in the money options with a weekly as you would with a monthly option to get the same move in the option that you own. This is because the delta will be higher on the weekly vs. monthly for the same respective strike price.

Weekly Options Strategies

Generally the most popular strategies with weeklys are income strategies that have traditionally been popular with monthly options like vertical credit spreads, covered calls, and calendar spreads. All of these strategies involve being short an option with the intent of having the short option expire out of the money and collect the premiums.

Option Risk

The biggest risk with a weekly is if you implement a trade that involves selling an out of the money call or put is that in order to collect a reasonable premium you will have to sell closer to the market strike prices. This is due to the fact that with the short time horizon, the underlying stock has less chance of making a large move. Therefore farther out of the money options contract have a higher likelihood of expiring worthless.

Overall, weekly options can provide a huge benefit to option income traders whether they are traders or long term investors but you must first have a good understanding of options strategies and risk/reward before investing in them.

Covered Call Writing Update: Weekly Options Make Every Friday Payday!

There is a new gold rush for covered call writers called weekly options, or "Weeklys." (Yes this is spelled correctly because the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) trademarked the name.)

Weeklys have been around since 2005 and have hardly been noticed because the option offerings were limited to the S&P 500 (SPX) and the S&P100 (OEX). In June of 2010, Weeklys were offered on the SPY, QQQQ, DIA and IWM, and in July 2010 the offerings were extended to equities and ETFs. Stocks like Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Microsoft, Intel, Cisco, Research in Motion, IBM, Goldman Sachs and Bank of America, and more are now available. Las Vegas Sands is the newest addition.

In addition, there are some solid ETFs like the QQQQs (NASDAQ), GLD and GDX (Gold), SLV (Silver), USO (Oil) and FAS (3x bull), to name a few. There are about 30 at the moment and growing. However, the list can change weekly because each option exchange is allowed 5 picks per week to add to the Weekly list. If for some reason an exchange is not getting the volume, they can choose another stock. Recently, BIDU disappeared from the list.

Also, if you use a long-dated put for protection, this "insurance" can be paid for very fast due to more writes per month.

Forecast Over Eight Days Instead of Thirty

Setting your crystal ball to look out 8 days versus 30 is easier. As traders know, the trend is your friend and it's much easier to look at what is happening in the week ahead. One of the biggest complaints about covered call writing is what to do if the stock really runs up and you have to either forgo the increased gains over the call option strike you sold or buy back the call at a higher price. If this happens, it's a lot easier to adjust over one week and reset with a new trend the next week.

Time Decay is Your Best Buddy

All call writers love and bank on time decay. With Weeklys, time decay is greatly accelerated. There have been times that calls I sold on Thursday morning on introduction eroded over 30% by Monday's close. I love weekends now more than ever! You can write near-the-money calls or at-the-money-calls and collect the higher premiums due to the rapid time decay.

How much fun is this? Your stock's trend is solid, you have a buy / write for the next week and the money is in your account. Weeklys offer an astonishing opportunity to super size returns by selling a naked put or a put spread (to limit risk and to use less margin) for more premium. Just follow normal put selling rules; sell below a strong support point, at least one strike out of the money and maybe more if the premiums are good.

Choosing the put strike depends on your threshold of risk. Most put writers sell the puts in hopes that they actually can get the stock "put" to them, meaning they get to buy the stock at the lower price. That's a profitable way to get discounts on stocks you want to own anyway. Either outcome can be fine. One way you get to keep the premium and the other is you buy one of your core holdings on sale.

If you do not want the stock, just buy back the put. Another value is you do not need to own the underlying stock to sell puts, so you can sell more contracts to collect more premium. Just be sure you have the margin if the put is naked (each brokerage has different margin requirements, for each stock, so check before you sell) and the account size to buy the stock. If not, then turn it into a spread and close it out if the trade does not perform.

It's amazing how many experienced investors and fund managers do not know much about weekly options. The word is spreading. One minor irritating issue is many retail brokerage houses do not offer Weeklys on their platforms. E-Trade and Charles Schwab do not as of this time. Schwab is scheduled for January 2011 and E-Trade has no date. Besides the sophisticated direct access platforms, there is Think or Swim (TOS). TD Ameritrade bought TOS and clients get the platform.

As a non-client, you can still download and use the platform in play mode to paper trade and get some experience. Their support is quite good too. There is a lot to know about the various covered call writing strategies for up, down or sideways markets. The more you learn, the more you earn.

A Chopper is a motorcycle that has had its frame altered to give the motorcycle a very distinguished look. Usually these motorcycles have a long stretched out frame and a front end with long forks. Windshields, fenders, headlights and crash bars were removed and the remaining motorcycle was usually painted black. In the 1960s and 70s other motorcycle enthusiasts picked up where World War II veterans left off and started altering the stock frames of their motorcycles by cutting and welding them to give their motorcycles a sleeker look. This chopping of the frame gave rise to the name Chopper for these kinds of motorcycles. They found that a longer front end allowed them to have better control over the motorcycle at faster speeds. They started by modifying the degree of the neck rake and lengthening the front end. A traditional chopper is constructed out of a standard factory motorcycle. The unnecessary parts are then discarded and the frame is chopped and welded so that the motor and seating can be lowered and parts added to increase the motorcycles' performance.

Today's choppers are completely modified motorcycles with individual accessories added to create a one-of-a-kind motorcycle. The main difference between a true chopper and a custom motorcycle is that a custom motorcycle usually retains the original frame while the other parts are modified. With choppers, the frame is modified as well. Plus, the raked front end extends the wheel base giving the motorcycle a more stable feel during high speeds and when going down a straight line. Changing the rake and trail of a motorcycle involves modifying the front end design and changing the angle between the neck of the motorcycle and the vertical line from the axis of the wheel.

If you're a base for a cheerleading team, you are well aware by now that arm strength is crucial to becoming a better base. Tossing, lifting, twisting and catching other girls in the air is not for the faint or weak. Many females, in general, tend to lack the arm strength their male counter parts have, so arm strengthening is the key ingredient to a cheerleading base's exercise routine. From your triceps to your wrists, I have a fitness plan that will make you a lean, mean, lifting machine. Please remember to stretch and warm up before performing any of these exercises to prevent injury.

Aside from gym machines, here are some at home exercises you can do to strengthen your upper arms.
Pushups: Lie down on your stomach with your toes to the mat and your legs straight, together and parallel to each other. Your hands should be positioned at shoulder level, but slightly further out than shoulder width, palms flat and fingers spread apart to help with balance. Don't look at the floor while performing this exercise. You want to look straight ahead to keep your entire body in a straight line. Slowly straighten your arms and keep your back and legs straight while pushing your body off of the floor. Stop for a moment once your arms have reached the top and then slowly lower your body back to the floor by bending your elbows. You'll want to lower your body until your chest is touching the floor. Keep repeating this exercise in sets to see full results. If you want more of a challenge, place your hands together in a diamond shape using your thumbs and index fingers, at shoulder level and perform the pushup.
Upside Down Pushups: Get into position by doing a handstand against the wall (you'll be using the wall to help you keep your balance). When you do the handstand, make sure your not too far away from the wall by placing your finger tips as close to it as possible. Positioning yourself too far away will cause back and neck strain. Lower your body by bending your elbows and keeping your body straight against the wall. Then straighten your elbows to push back up. This exercise will have better results when done in multiple repetitions.
Chair Dips: Take a chair and get into a sitting position, back straight and feet flat on the floor. Grasp the front edge of the chair and rotate your palms so they are facing away from you. Walk your feet out in front of you until your buttocks is no longer over the chair, but in front of the chair. Keep your back as close to the chair as possible and dip your body down by bending your elbows and keeping your back straight. Dip until your elbows are at a 90 degree angle and then straighten your elbows to return to the starting position. This exercise will have better results when done in multiple repetitions. If you need more of a challenge, take a second chair and rest your heels on it. Repeat the dipping motion, but this time your body will be fully elevated off of the floor.

The weakest part of your arm is your wrist and you'll be amazed at how many other cheerleading bases share the same strife. Weak or injured wrists will bring pyramid building to a screeching halt. It's important to take precautions and prevent injury by building your muscle strength in your wrists. Here are some tried and true wrist exercises that other cheerleaders use to strengthen their wrists.
Wrist Lifts: You'll want to start with a weight that is fairly light to prevent straining a weak area. A can of soup weighs about ten ounces and is great for beginners. If you need more of a challenge, grab a free weight of about two pounds. Please remember that you will be doing high amounts of repetitions so make sure you grab a weight you'll be comfortable with. Hold the can in your hand and face your palm upward. Slowly lift the can up and down with your wrist. It's very important that you do this motion slowly to target your muscles in your wrist. Start with two sets of twenty five for each hand and slowly add more repetitions as your wrists become stronger.
Hand Squeezes: Grab a tennis ball or a stress ball and slowly squeeze and release in each hand. Do two sets of twenty five in each hand and slowly add more repetitions as your wrists, hands and forearms become stronger.

In addition, before you put your flyer in the air, make sure you and your fellow bases grab a shoe and work out timing, hand and finger positions and coordination. This gives you and your team mates a chance to work out any confusion before risking the safety of your flyer.

A chopper is a motorcycle but not the traditional type. Choppers are motorcycles that have been radically modified by the owner or even the manufacturer. As required by law, almost all choppers across the country have to have protective bars for the driver installed. Now, most of us who were alive during the Nineties remember this scene from the classic American film, Pulp Fiction. I remember watching this movie for the first time and then wondering to myself, "What the hell is a difference between a chopper and a motorcycle?" This was before shows like American Chopper and Monster Garage came on to the scene and helped educate the public on the difference between a motorcycle and a custom built chopper.

A chopper is pretty much a motorcycle that had been customized, or "chopped" to give it individuality. The practice of building custom motorcycle choppers started sometime after World War Two when the biker culture began. Veterans came back from Europe, and found the big clunky motorcycles built by Harley Davidson and Indian unsatisfactory when compared to the lighter, faster European bikes. They decided to change the bikes by removing anything and everything that was unnecessary. They began to shorten, or remove the fenders to give the bike a sleeker look and the term "chopper" was born.

The custom-built chopper motorcycle evolved further during the sixties and seventies. Bikers began removing everything that was deemed unnecessary and replacing everything that seemed too big. Out went the windshield, the big blinkers and the big seats. The began raking the front wheel, so that it extended further out from the bike, giving the motorcycle a "cool" look and raising the handle bars higher. These customized motorcycles began to morph away from anything that was factory standard and became unique as each owner tailored their individual bike to what they deemed necessary.

The chopper took on an American Iconic status after the release of "Easy Rider" in 1969. Soon thereafter, the idea of a custom built motorcycle left the realm of the outlaw biker and entered the domain of the typical American. Soon, talented designers opened their own customizing shops replacing the guy in the backyard who put together bikes for fun. People started going to these shops to get their customized choppers instead of building it themselves.

As the baby boomer generation began to age, the demand for these nostalgic symbols of individuality began to rise. Soon, custom-built motorcycles were being produced and sold for exorbitant prices. Choppers were no longer the vehicles for the outlaw biker. They had instead become the status symbol for the weekend hobbyist with expendable income. Still, when I see one of these bankers going through a midlife crises flying down the freeway on a Chopper I cannot help but feel a shiver of danger and rebellion.

Building A Custom Chopper Motorcycle, Where Do You Start?

So you want to build a custom chopper? I do too, so the first question I asked myself, is where do I start. Should I make a business plan, a schedule, a financial statement, or should I just buy my wife some flowers and blindly proceed? I guess I should do all of the above but not necessarily in that order.

I will start by trying to justify this purchase and or endeavor, to do this I will make a list of my reasons for building a Chopper. 1) I want to ride a custom chopper, a totally cool stretched out, fire breathing, gas eating, pavement pounding, old lady scaring, 2 wheel monster. 2) I want to be able to say "I built that" when someone asks me where I got that totally sick bike. 3) I want to be able to customize the bike beyond the standard add on parts I can get for my current bike a Harley Davidson Fatboy. 4) I want to be able to make this dream come true, meaning I need to be able to pay for it. A ,000 chopper is out of my current budget. 5) I have been talking about this for 5 years so why don't I get to it and stop doing all the talking and start doing some building.

Now I have a few reasons on paper a will look at my options, then make a plan, a schedule, and find some extra money.

Let's start with a my build options, and plan on a slow and steady approach. I realize I will need to do a lot of research before I start. I have 4 basic options, a kit bike, a rolling chassis, a start from zero build, or an extreme makeover of a current motorcycle.

Option 1) If I start with a motorcycle kit I maybe the farthest ahead from a mechanical perspective, and farthest behind from a financial point of view. What do I mean by this, well a kit bike has all the parts it just needs paint, labor, gas, oil and some love. The problem a complete kit bike will cost me ,000 dollars right up front. This is a bit out of my spend a ton of money now then not be able to ride a bike for a year or two thinking. If I get a kit, I maybe able to get it together faster, as I will be motivated and have all the parts ready to go. As a first bike I think this is a very good option, when you consider all the expensive mistakes I may make along that way. One drawback to this option is the amount of customization I can do to the bike as it is put together. Because all the parts are in the kit, I may resist the urge to get new bars or different sheet metal, or other parts.

Option 2) Start with a Rolling chassis, this is the middle of the road option, spend a lump sum of money, about 1/2 of what the overall bike will cost and get a basic setup that all works together.

A Rolling chassis kit consists of a Frame, 2 wheels, the forks, and triple clamps and bars, all build and configured to work together. Add a motor and a transmission and all the major workings of the bike are in place. This setup helps avoid some of the major work needed to mix match and fit these items together. This option also allows for a ton of customization in the parts that people see and the parts that give a bike it's personality. For me this is a very serious option to consider. I would only have 1/2 the cost and 1/2 the parts sitting around and gathering dust until I get time to get it together.

Option 3) Find each and every part one at a time and build a completely custom motorcycle. I know I could do this, but I also know I will encounter more unexpected and possibly expensive issues with this type of build. This option would give me a bike that no one would ever duplicate. This could be very good or this could be very bad. What if some possible combination of frame, motor, forks, or wheels didn't work together? It would not be discovered until the motorcycle was all together. I think this option is better left to the serious professional who build bike all night long, as the are working on other peoples bikes, and running businesses during the day. I may consider this for my second custom chopper.

Option 4) Take an existing bike and start cutting and changing it. This is maybe as involved as chopping and re-welding the frame to create a new rake and angles. Or it could mean just getting a new frame and using the engine, transmission, and various other part to build a new machine. I like this idea, and I think it would be a lower cost alternative to all new custom parts. With this option you are also able to keep the current registration and title if the frame is not replaced. This is also a lower cost option because a lot of the miscellaneous parts can be reused.

I know that in one page all the possible combinations of Custom Chopper build can't be completely explained, I just hope this information give you something to start with and build on. It has help steer me in the direction of a rolling chassis, so I better get shopping.
